“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”

I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.” Inspired by the blog" 8 ways to a work life balance". I took this challenge https://www.rewardme.in/family/child-and-you/article/8-ways-to-a-work-life-balance

I have started collecting treasures each day. Time saved-Treasure collected. Till I grow old  I would be a rich man with all those treasures tucked safe inside my heart. And it would be a bank of "Treasured Moments."

Time Management-Time Collected

“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”

This  fits in perfectly with the life which we are living today. The mad rush, the crumble, the rush, the fleeting moments keep us on toe and time passes by underneath. But amidst the chaos haven’t we all hurled our  breathe to say “Am I actually living?

As a family we live together but do we spend time laughing with our loved ones reminiscing events, do we actually speak about ourselves, have we spoken about anything since last few days, did we even walk together towards the beach during the sun set which was a delight when we had all the time in the world. No we had bought "Our Dream" house, we had the best of teak wood furnitures, we also had a balcony looking beyond the  green fantasies, but actually have we lived   those moments which we had bought. Or are we just spending huge amounts, paying EMI’s and counting breathe.
Family Time-Extra life span

I started sketching  my life and nowhere could I plant "Time". I had not looked at  myself, my declining health, my eroding timeline and my sinking life style(life style is quality of life here)

Time is life-Time is money-Investing in good health/ family/Hobby/Passion is saving wealth. .

That day I was reading this Blog on Blog Adda.It caught my fancy, taught a few tricks which could actually make life better, enjoy sunsets, go on fishing, laugh without a reason and enjoy “Pakoda’s” with my family. It's true we have our own explanations but each one of us can have at least some hours saved. A bit of planning and  “Time Management” is what  the Author emphasis on. Different smart ways to engage time and  use it in a better way.

Allotment of time- That surely was missing in my diary. The best time to work and attend emails was 8-11 am and I have started engaging that time efficiently. Now I have mid hour breaks where in I handle a few of those miscellaneous work. While I don’t waste golden hours, I actually save them for later usage.

Turning on my concentration and turning off from social media- In this Blog a very important concern has been raised and the perfect way to overcome it.  I try to turn off notifications during work hours. I have started doing it thrice a week.  I  hold  my phone at a special time and at  a specified hour. I remind myself of the duration which I would spend in checking. I have started with the first step at least.

At home – My time is “our time” and “me time”–I have started surfing less of T.V., switching off to a silent mode(phone) while we eat together in our dining table, I make sure to have at least a cup of tea in that beautiful balcony (I realized the view was awesome beyond )with my family members. I also chat while I pour milk and  make the evening tea.

Thereafter I spend an hour with my daughter helping her with her studies, we have also started reading 3 pages everyday from a story book. I have seen a sudden rush of glow  while I sit beside her, it’s priceless.

And before I sleep I am left with some time. That’s “me” time. We all need some moments to ourselves as human beings, to think, to rejuvenate, to contemplate and to bring the best from within. To gather the strength to hold on to another dawn, to bounce back and feel the positive vibes internally. I meditate for 15 minutes and then hold on to a fresh lease of life, debugging the clutter. Another day, another beginning.

Time Saved-Finding Myself

I live in moments, I treasure those  “best moments” which I was able to spend with myself, my family and nature. It is but natural to be bowed down by  innumerable chains which life thrusts  upon us everyday but amidst all, a few moments can be lived.

It's  all about collecting moments in a smarter way and managing  it in a more better  way . So think what actually is the need, understand your inner desires, cravings, your necessities, thereafter the goals can be set. There is no end to desires of mind but there is an expiry date to your life, to your health, to your loved ones and to all those "Happiness"
